2020 challenged all of us in unforeseen ways.

But with your unwavering support, and the unstoppable determination of our CAMFED Association of women leaders, we’ve been working tirelessly to keep girls safe and learning, and support young women to become independent and influential.  With millions more girls now at risk of never returning to school, this work has never been more important.

Here are just a few of the many moments that lit the darkness in 2020.  No matter how small or large the part YOU played – thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We know, because we have lived it:  Together We Can!

CAMFED Association: Keeping girls in school

Members of the CAMFED Association of women leaders educated with CAMFED support are at the forefront of CAMFED’s programs. They use their lived experience of poverty and exclusion to make sure this generation of girls in Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe get access to school, learn when they get there, thrive in and beyond school, and can unite with their communities lead lasting, positive change.

Gender equity starts with girls’ education.
