Leaving a gift to CAMFED in your will

As well as making sure that your loved ones are provided for, writing your will can also be an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the world. Legacy gifts left to CAMFED impact whole communities in Sub-Saharan Africa for generations to come.

Leaving a gift to CAMFED in your will activates a network of support which results in marginalized young women receiving the quality education they deserve. Although it can be a daunting process, creating an up-to-date will ensures that your family, and the causes you care about, are provided for as you intend.

We recommend consulting a solicitor to make sure that all the legal formalities are correctly followed and that your will is valid.

There are three different types of gifts you can leave in your will:

  • A residuary legacy is a share of the balance of your estate once all other payments have been made.
  • A pecuniary legacy is a fixed amount of money.
  • A specific legacy is a gift of a specific item, such as personal possessions, land, buildings or shares.

Please include the following information when writing your will:

Address: 466 Geary Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94102
Registered Charity Number: EIN 54–2033897

Legacy gifts left to CAMFED are exempt from Inheritance Tax because we are a charity.
