Going to CIES 2025 in Chicago, USA?

Then please join CAMFED Zimbabwe’s Jeffrey Nyandoro, Senior Impact Manager, and other experts for a workshop organised by our partners in Canada, 60 million girls. We’ll discuss digital offline learning for remote communities and how the Mobile Learning Lab – combined with young women learning facilitators (or ‘Learner Guides’) – can improve learning outcomes, especially for the most marginalized girls.

The Workshop aims to provide participants with information on how offline digital learning can benefit underserved communities without access to the internet. The Mobile Learning Lab (MLL) can enable student access to interactive games, classroom materials, government tests/curricular resources, e-books, and specifically curated, local, culturally relevant, language-specific content. The MLL, which comprises a Remote Area Community Hotspot for Education and Learning (RACHEL) server, user devices, and solar panels, is currently available to over 700,000 children in more than 20 countries.
