Text A holiday message from your friends at CAMFED
Angie Murimirwa, CAMFED Executive Director for Africa Hi I’m Angie Murimirwa.
Lucy Lake, CEO, CAMFED And I’m Lucy Lake and together we’re the co-executives of CAMFED.
Angie Murimirwa, CAMFED Executive Director for Africa We just want to thank you for an amazing year that in spite of the challenges that we encountered, in spite of it all, we are here standing and have supported millions more girls into school.
Text over moving imagery Together, this year, we’ve reached marginalized girls with the support they need to thrive in education. 2022 has seen us announce exciting new partnerships including…
Our new collaboration with the Obama Foundation on the Get Her There initiative and our partnership with Fairtrade, supporting women-led enterprises.
Every day we show how girls’ education literally saves lives.
We’ve seen our projects grow in exciting ways, like CAMFED’s climate-smart training farm in Chinsali, Zambia where graduates in our leadership movement teach sustainable agriculture. It’s one of the many ways we’ve supported young women into further education and employment.
On TV, leaders and entrepreneurs in our CAMFED Association showcased the impact of CAMFED support, as they transform communities and send more girls to school.
This year, our advocacy reached further than ever before. 1.4 million viewers a week in five countries tuned in to watch the animation inspired by our My Better World lifeskills course.
We took our message about the power of girls’ education and women’s climate leadership to COP27, bringing the expertise of those on the frontline of the climate crisis.
And we’ve continued working with government partners to scale our programs nationally and benefit millions more girls in the coming years.
Lucy Lake, CEO, CAMFED And just to echo Angie’s thank you. It’s enabling us to achieve amazing things despite the global context, despite the challenges we’re up against and really because we are led by those who are on the front line, who are the experts on what it takes to ensure the most vulnerable girls are in school and thriving and succeeding and going on to become leaders in their communities and leaders standing with us and standing with you.
Angie Murimirwa, CAMFED Executive Director for Africa We look forward to doing this with you again in the next year. Better, bigger and faster. Together we can! Pamoja Tunaweza!
Lucy Lake, CEO, CAMFED We want to thank you and wish you a happy holiday season.
