Together we are supporting community-led change in rural Africa.
We recognize the generosity of individuals, communities, corporations, trusts and foundations, statutory and non-governmental bodies who have supported CAMFED’s grassroots-led program at all levels.
Meet some of our current partners below.
Together we are improving lives and livelihoods for women and girls, their communities, and nations, and making the world a more equitable place for all of us.
The Hon Julia Gillard AC is the 27th Prime Minister of Australia and the Patron of CAMFED.
Julia Gillard, who joined CAMFED as Patron in 2016, is also inaugural Chair of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at King’s College London, and Chair of Wellcome.
Of CAMFED’s model she says, “CAMFED has demonstrated an ability to make a large-scale difference to girls’ lives through education. I have been truly impressed by their approach to scaling their model while retaining an unremitting focus on reaching girls who are the most vulnerable and ‘invisible.’ Their results are well-evidenced, sustainable and replicable, and the societal consequences are deep and profound. CAMFED is creating a movement of future leaders who I believe have the potential to transform a continent.”
