Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CAMFED.

At the signing event, the Ministry of Youth was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Solomon Mhlanga, and CAMFED Zimbabwe was represented by our Co-Executive Director, Ms. Justina Hama. The MoU seeks to formalize relations between the two organizations, as together we advance girls’ education and young women’s entrepreneurship in marginalized, rural communities.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary called this “a monumental partnership,” emphasizing its role in catalyzing the power young people and ensuring a sustainable future. CAMFED’s Co-Executive Director thanked the Ministry for its unwavering support, highlighting education as key to transforming lives.

The collaboration will equip young people, particularly young women, with access to quality education, vocational training, and vital skills to navigate a complex world, reinforcing their dreams and aspirations for a prosperous future.
