Hi, I'm Tinotenda, a student in Zimbabwe! - Video Transcript

Back to video

Tinotenda, secondary student, Zimbabwe Education my power! I answer to the name Tinotenda, Junior MP for Gokwe Central constituency and I’m also the vice Head Girl of my school. Education is indeed power. Ever since CAMFED, I have learned a lot at school, and I have also been exposed to many opportunities. Like I am right now, a Junior Parliamentarian.

I am a girl with the dreams. I dream of becoming a neurosurgeon some day when I’ve finished my studies. I have told myself I’m going to make sure this dream of mine helps me to set up an organization that will help the young girls and young women out there.

My fellow colleagues, I urge you to work really hard. You have got the potential and you are capable. Hard work, dedication and willpower. With this, only the sky is the limit. Let us embrace education, as it is a tool for empowerment. With this, I thank you.
