At this year’s Yidan Prize Summit, we’ll be hearing from the newly revealed 2023 Yidan Prize laureates, as well as from existing members of this special community. 2020 Yidan Prize for Education Development laureates Angeline (Angie) Murimirwa, CAMFED CEO, and Lucy Lake, CAMFED Executive Advisor, will be joining forces with Ruth Kagia, former Global Education Director at the World Bank, as well as Baela Raza Jamil of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) in Pakistan, who served on the Education Commission.

In the Summit’s final session, they’ll be discussing what equity and inclusion in education means for systems change, drawing on CAMFED’s three decades of experience in advancing girls’ education in rural Africa. The panel will reference the work of The Hon. Dr David Moinina Sengeh, Chief Minister and former Education Minister of Sierra Leone and author of the book Radical Inclusion, who had been scheduled to speak at the event but was unable to join.
