"I use my profits to support marginalized girls in my community"

Elizabeth, a CAMFED Association member from Mchinji, Malawi, launched her peanut processing business (Ezel Agro-processors) with CAMFED support in 2021. Growing from strength to strength, she was featured in the business section of a Malawian newspaper in February 2024, in an article detailing her story, her journey into business, and her philanthropic efforts. An inspiration to many young women in her community, Elizabeth has not only achieved financial independence but has supported 12 primary school learners and seven secondary school learners with school-going items, as well as providing 100 students with guidance and counseling. Elizabeth currently employs four permanent staff in her production and sales teams, and hopes to expand into sunflower oil production in future.
