When she thrives, we all thrive
Together this giving season, we can make a difference that ripples outward to benefit everyone.
The vibrant design celebrates a quarter century of empowering girls and young women to break the cycle of poverty and inequality in rural sub-Saharan Africa. From a small social enterprise founded in 1993 to support 32 girls in Zimbabwe to go to school, CAMFED has grown into a movement which, 25 years later, has educated 2.6 million children, and launched young women across five countries into entrepreneurship and leadership roles.
Drawing on the strength of our global movement, CAMFED has invited students, alumnae, teachers, Ministries of Education, and organization leaders across Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Great Britain, Canada, and the United States to be a part of this global event.
Under the banner Make Your Mark, the activities will also feature creative uses of the logo on original artworks, textiles, clothing and more, created by the organization’s international community.
This includes students, employees, partners, and CAMFED alumnae in the CAMA network – the former students who have become teachers, health care workers, businesswomen and, most importantly, catalysts of lasting change.

Shared on the morning of 26 September 2018, live from Mashonaland East in Zimbabwe: School communities coming together for girls’ education.
Lucy Lake, CEO of the Campaign for Female Education, added, “The Make Your Mark initiative will showcase the vibrancy and passion of our teams in Africa, England and North America.
Members of our movement are making their mark in communities around the world. It’s time to let a wider audience in to see their talent and ambition.”
Partners and supporters are invited to join, and share the celebrations on social media using the hashtags #CAMFEDMakeYourMark and #CAMFED25.
