Thank you so much for staying with us on this journey towards justice and a brighter future. It’s an exciting time to be part of the CAMFED family!

Angeline Murimirwa, CAMFED CEO

Over this year, we’ve faced a number of complex challenges—from turbulent economic contexts to climate-related weather shocks. But together, while tackling these issues, we’ve continued our core work—supporting hundreds of thousands of girls in education and equipping young women with the skills and community support they need to succeed after graduation.

Our 2023 TED Talk: School is just the start...

One of our biggest highlights this year was our CEO, Angeline (Angie) Murimirwa, delivering her Talk at TED2023 in Vancouver as part of the group of world-changing projects selected by Audacious. She invites us to see girls’ education from a different perspective, and highlights the power of collective leadership. By the end of the year, the Talk had already been viewed nearly 1.2 million times.
