Mary is passionate about creating governance practices and processes that set an organization. Mary holds an Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D Designation, demonstrating her commitment to board excellence and to staying current and effective. She has experienced the impact between governance and organizational sustainability through her service as Board Chair for the YMCA of British Columbia (YBC), for YMCA of British Columbia Foundation and YMCA Canada. Following her graduation from the University of Victoria Law School, Mary specialized in securities regulation and compliance throughout her legal career. She is a retired member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
