CAMFED Kenya Board - Secretary
Margaret Sayo K. Muandale is a distinguished educationist with a career spanning several decades in Kenya’s education sector. She is a retired Director of Teacher Education at the Ministry of Education (Kenya), where she led national reforms in Diploma Teacher Education and set strategic direction for quality training standards Countrywide. Her earlier senior roles include Deputy Director of Education (Secondary Education), County Director of Education, and Assistant Director of Education Quality Assurance and Standards.
She also served as Secretary to the National Education Board Secretariat, contributing to high-level policy formulation and governance in Kenya’s education sector. Before moving into senior leadership, Margaret was a High School Principal in two girls’ schools, including one serving students from highly vulnerable communities.
Margaret holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration, Planning, and Curriculum Studies from Kenyatta University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Population Studies from the University of Nairobi. She is a passionate advocate for girls’ education and brings a wealth of experience in matters of the Girl Child Education, Teacher Education, Quality Assurance in Basic Education and policy development to the Camfed Kenya Board.
