Anthony Boateng is a lawyer and seasoned education professional with over 30 years of experience in education administration and governance. He previously served as Deputy Director-General (Management Services) at the Ghana Education Service (GES), where he provided strategic leadership across key operational and policy areas.
During his tenure at GES, he also held roles as Director of the Legal Unit and Acting Secretary to the GES Council. He briefly served as Acting Executive Secretary of the National Teaching Council, contributing to regulatory and professional standards in the education sector. His work has spanned policy development, human resource management, and legal oversight, with a strong focus on systems-level thinking and institutional strengthening.
Earlier in his career, Anthony worked as a teacher and as a Research Officer with the National Commission for Civic Education, grounding his leadership in both classroom and civic engagement experience.
He is a senior member of the Ghana Bar Association and remains actively engaged in professional bodies both locally and internationally.
