Chisomo Luciano was elected as National Chairperson for the CAMFED Association Malawi in March 2024. She also holds the post of elected District Chairperson for the CAMFED Association in Zomba district.
Chisomo graduated from school with CAMFED support in 2014. She has become a role model and respected entrepreneur, running transportation, tailoring and mobile money businesses — inspiring girls and young women in her community to venture into business and fulfill their ambitions.
Chisomo’s leadership is marked by passion and dedication. In her role as National Chairperson for CAMFED Association in Malawi she aims to support millions more girls to thrive in school and become catalysts for change in their communities. Through this pan-African network of educated activists, Chisomo is eager to harness the collective efforts of young women change makers to create a positive impact globally.
Chisomo is the holder of a Higher Diploma in Community Development and Social Work.
