CAMFED Association member and climate-smart Agriculture Guide Chise Kabungo will be joining a virtual roundtable in honor of International Day of the Girl, hosted by FHI 360 and including leaders from the FCDO’s Girls’ Education Challenge, USAID, UNICEF and other partners.
Speaking alongside other youth leaders, Chise will be describing the effects of climate change on her rural community in Zambia, and what young educated women are doing about it. CAMFED graduates in our sisterhood of leaders – the CAMFED Association – train as guides and mentors. Working together, they are bringing climate education into the classroom and equipping smallholder farmers, especially other young women, with the tools and knowledge they need to build climate resilience and food security, addressing the poverty and hunger that pushes girls out of school.
