Dominica: I want to be Speaker of the National Assembly and a confident, fearless woman - Video Transcript
Dominica, secondary student, Tanzania My name is Dominica. Challenges that I went through while studying were [lack of] school uniforms, pens, exercise books and other learning materials. Through it all, my family did their best to support me financially so I could get all my basic needs.

Dominica The difference that I have experienced after getting an education is that I have learned to make right decisions in life. An educated person can make right decisions with confidence to accomplish things with their intellect.
What I love about school is sports. Teachers put emphasis on sports, and we learn various games like football. My favorite subject is English because it is a language that is spoken internationally, while also giving people employment and education opportunities within and outside the country.
When I grow up, I want to be the Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania like Dr. Tulia Ackson, who serves as the Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania. This is because she is a confident, fearless woman who has inspired young girls and other women in working hard without losing hope in life.
CAMA [the CAMFED Association] is a network of young women who were supported by CAMFED, which gives opportunities to girls and takes responsibility for enhancing our education. For example, Learner Guides in our school facilitate life skills [such as] how to live well in the society.
I want to join CAMA [the CAMFED Association] because I also wish to be a CAMA member, so that I can also educate other girls and direct them on how to live well and deal with challenges.
What I would like to share with my fellow girls or anyone is that, in life there are challenges and these challenges can be overcome or solved but only when we don’t give up or lose hope in life and continue moving forward.
