Engagements Director, CAMFED Malawi
As Engagements Director, Robert is responsible for the transformative engagement of traditional leaders, the government and other Civil Society Organisations in Malawi.
Robert has more than 15 years’ experience working as an Education Development Practitioner, with an emphasis on project planning, monitoring and evaluation. He joined CAMFED Malawi in January 2012 as District Operations Secretariat, became Program Officer in 2013, and assumed the position of Program Manager in 2015, at the forefront of implementing CAMFED’s girls’ education and young women’s transition programs, including aligning budgets with plans, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. Robert has been responsible for building and strengthening local partnerships, managing donor relationships and representing CAMFED at district and national levels.
Prior to joining CAMFED, Robert was the Program and Sponsorship Coordinator for Plan International Malawi where he spent eight years in planning, designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating integrated development projects in the areas of quality education support, youth governance and economic empowerment, gender, safeguarding and child protection. Robert holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Management at the Malawi Institute of Management (MIM).
