Fairuza Safian

Fairuza has over 15 years’ experience in the NGO sector and a deep understanding of CAMFED’s programs. She first joined CAMFED Ghana in 2008, rising through the Finance department until she was appointed Head of Finance and Operations in 2020, leading on program budgeting, reporting and compliance. Fairuza stepped into the role of Acting National Director in 2023.

Fairuza is passionate about ensuring CAMFED’s clients receive the holistic support they need to learn and thrive, from the entry point into our program to when they transition into a livelihood of their choice. Seeing the impact of education and agency on their lives and life choices brings her the greatest joy.

Prior to joining CAMFED, she worked at the Micro Finance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) in Tamale. Fairuza holds an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematical Science and a Master of Commerce in Banking and Finance, both from the University for Development Studies.
