Maxime Michel appointed Executive Director of CAMFED Canada
The Board of CAMFED Canada, the Campaign for Female Education, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Maxime Michel as Executive Director of CAMFED Canada effective Monday, September 29th, 2025. Maxime brings deep experience in Canada’s international development sector, and a leadership approach that chimes strongly with CAMFED’s mission, with a focus on aligning systems and teams in service of equity and impact.
The Board is delighted to welcome Maxime. She brings a values-driven approach rooted in gender justice, localization, and accountability, alongside a proven track record at mission-aligned organizations. CAMFED Canada helps tackle poverty, inequality, and injustice by supporting girls from the most disadvantaged families in rural Africa to go to school, learn, thrive and become independent and influential change leaders in their communities — creating jobs and opportunity, and in turn supporting the next generation to succeed.
