TIME100 Most Influential People
CAMFED CEO, Angeline Murimirwa, named to TIME’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people.
This film explores the transformative power of girls’ education. When girls are supported through secondary school and into economic independence and leadership positions after school, they can thrive. Angeline Murimirwa, Fiona Mavhinga and Abigail Kaindu tell us how they have overcome the barriers to education, and how the young women of the CAMFED Association (CAMA) are now at the forefront of the movement to get millions more girls into school.
Thank you to Barneys New York and the team at Tandem Pictures for working with our alumnae to create this inspiring film, which won the Gold Hermes Creative Award for Non-Profit Marketing and was the Gold Winner of the 2016 AVA Digital Awards.
