Hear from Harriet Lukanda, CAMFED Association leader, Zambia - Video Transcript

Back to video

Harriet Lukanda, CAMFED Association leader, Zambia Did you know that 95% of girls in the most disadvantaged communities in rural Africa never complete secondary school? This could have been my story. Hi. My name is Harriet, a girls’ education activist in Zambia and a proud member of the CAMFED sisterhood.

I am educated, and because I’m educated I am empowered, not only to change my life, but also the lives of the young girls in my community, my family, my friends, my country, and the world at large.

I cannot change my community alone. I will always need the support of the sisterhood, who will go back in the communities to plow back, doing charity work, doing donations, and also raising awareness on things affecting our community. Therefore, my dear audience, be part of something big!
