Madam Freda Tia Napari is secretary to the “Suguru veela” Mother Support Group, which assists the Zobzia Primary School in Gambaga.

Madam Freda is a very active woman who is dedicated to promoting girls’ education in her district. As a member and secretary to the Mother Support Group, she led the team to undertake regular monitoring visits concerning the attendance and performance of supported scholars. She has also been instrumental in the CAMFED Association (CAMA) advocacy program and other activities.

Under the leadership and encouragement of Madam Freda, the Zobzia Mother Support Group purchased a computer for the school to ease the burden of examination fees for parents. They also bought stationery and other educational materials for the school children.

Following her basic schooling in East Mamprusi district, Madam Freda completed her education at Wulugu Senior High School. Owing to financial constraints, she was unable to pursue further studies.
