Rosemary O’Mahony joined the Board of CAMFED at the beginning of 2018.

Rosemary was a partner with Accenture, where she spent 28 years between the Dublin, Chicago, Sophia Antipolis and Paris offices. She specialised in Information Technology (IT) solutions and worked with clients in over 20 countries. Rosemary had global responsibilities for Accenture’s technology practice, including management of the technology research office in Sophia Antipolis, France. After her retirement from Accenture, Rosemary was an Executive Advisor to Fujitsu Services from June, 2008 to December, 2009.

Rosemary has used her professional experience of 30 years in consulting to help charities and social enterprises in both the UK and France.

In the UK, Rosemary assisted IntoUniversity with the implementation of new IT systems. Rosemary is a member of the Accreditation Committee and Class B shareholder of Youth Business International (YBI), which is based in London with programmes in more than 50 countries. These programmes assist disadvantaged young people to create their own businesses.

In France, Rosemary was a member of the Board of “1001 fontaines”, a charity that creates social enterprises to provide clean drinking water to improve the health of isolated rural villagers in developing countries, including Cambodia, Madagascar, Myanmar and Vietnam. She is the Chair of the Board of 1001fontaines UK, which was established in 2021.

Rosemary holds a degree in Mathematical Sciences from Trinity College, Dublin. In addition to English, she speaks French, German and Gaelic. Her interests include classical music, opera, travel and skiing.
