When she thrives, we thrive

Education is a fundamental right for girls across the world, unlocking each girl’s power to create the future she envisions for herself.

Their success ripples outward, lifting families out of poverty, driving economic growth, and fostering resilience in the face of global challenges like climate change.

Girls’ education creates a better, more equitable world for everyone.

Yet, for girls from the most disadvantaged communities in rural Africa, the chances of securing an education are almost non-existent. Out of every 100 girls from poor families, just five will complete secondary school.

 THAT’S WHERE YOU COME IN!

With your help, we can not only support girls to enroll in school, but ensure that they truly thrive in their education – and beyond.

When you make a gift to CAMFED, you’re helping:

 GIRLS THRIVE:

We provide individualized financial and material support to ensure girls have everything they need in school – including clothes, notebooks, and menstrual products – and build a nurturing support network around them.

 YOUNG WOMEN THRIVE:

After graduation, we support young women to transition to secure work and leadership roles through the CAMFED Association—a sisterhood of over 275,000 educated women who support the next generation of girls and change the futures of their communities.

 ENTIRE GENERATIONS THRIVE:

We partner with governments to enhance national school systems, ensuring they better serve the needs of all children.

“It’s no longer just me, IT IS US”

Getruda is a CAMFED Association member from Tanzania. CAMFED was able to support her through school thanks to generous people like you.

Today she is thriving and completing her final year of a degree in Psychology. She also helps prepare other young women from her community for university applications.
