Leticia X #CAMFEDsisterhood - Video Transcript

Back to video

Leticia, CAMFED Association Member Hello, everyone. My name is Leticia. I am a CAMFED Association member and a welder by profession. Valuing myself as a young woman has enabled me to make more decisions in my life by working in a male dominated field without any influence from others.

My journey from a teenager up to a young woman, as I am, has been rough and smooth but with determination and hard work, I have been able to make it through. Doing what I am good at, as well as managing my own progress and celebrating my achievements has been the source of my self-confidence and self-belief. Volunteering and taking leadership roles whereby I have found myself has helped me to overcome barriers to success.

Sisterhood is like a family to me because through that I’ve been able to network, learn new things, get hard-earned opportunities, as well as mentoring others. I am always driven to lift up others because I strongly believe that a success without a successor is not a success. Thank you.
