I am a multiplier! - Miriam from Malawi - Video Transcript

Back to video

Miriam, Agriculture Extension Development Officer and CAMFED Association Member My name is Miriam, I am a multiplier. I am a CAMFED Association member in Dedza, Malawi. I was supported by CAMFED in school. I went to Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources college and now I am working in the Ministry of Agriculture as Agriculture Extension Development Officer.

Using my knowledge as an extension worker, I support my family, community and fellow young women to practice climate-smart agriculture. I also promote financial farming among young women for their economic empowerment. So far, I have reached out to 26 young women on a monthly basis through my community meetings. With the salary I get, I do support eight siblings with basic needs such as soap, exercise books, and pens – and other boarding girls to go through school.

I am a multiplier and I am a proud CAMFED alumna. Thank you.
