
Breaking down the barriers to girls' education across Africa

All across Africa CAMFED’s CAMA alumnae celebrated International Day of the Girl by championing education as the key to tackling poverty, inequality and achieving a brighter future for all.
They wrote blogs, shared their expertise with global advocates, visited schools, met with communities and took to the airwaves to talk about the barriers that prevent too many girls from accessing, staying in and succeeding at school. And their actions spoke even louder as CAMA members provided girls with essential school items, marched against child marriage and organized debates on the importance of education.
