Camfed provides scholarships and support so the poorest girls in Zimbabwe's rural communities can attend high school. For each girl who has achieved a level high enough to proceed to the final academic exams (A Levels), Camfed needs to raise $450 (~£282). This scholarship enables the girls to stay on at school and prepare for and sit the final exams.
This Camfed Iguacu appeal has been established as a restricted appeal (specifically for the girls' education as stated above) and Iguacu does not touch your donation.
Iguacu is a global humanitarian portal advising the public on effective actions to take in the world where help is most needed.
"Above all, I am inspired by their generosity. Each girl has struggled against the cruelty of poverty and yet each looks forward to the day when she has the opportunity to help others, to transform her community." - Ann Cotton, Camfed's Founder and President
